You're correct. No need to change adapter settings when using Warp, If you use your VPN it won't use the DNS resolvers set there anyway. So think of Warp as a quick way to enable/ disable Cloudflare DNS when not using a VPN.

Those images. I don't think that i've ever seen the one with "1.1.1.1" on it. I just see:

Just checked settings and there's option to use 1.1.1.1 without WARP so I guess that means use regular Cloudflare DNS settings without the encryption as if you'd changed settings via network adapter.

Again I have to state that those settings are ignored by your VPN.

Also I've only ever checked server location when using WARP and not 1.1.1.1 It connects to a server in London just a few miles from home. If I use my ISP's DNS it connects to a server miles away in Sheffield. So in therory London should be faster. EDIT: I'm done for today. So test Warp and if of no use just uninstall it. There's no harm done. Personally I use it all the time except if I need to access region locked content and that's when I swith to VPN.

Thanks. Got it. It's just a little confusing when the plain 1.1.1.1 (the image I posted in post #25 above) uses the term faster & WARP doesn't.
