If defender is blocking it wouldn't it come up on the screen and say it was blocking it.....I've looked in defender and I can't see anywhere that it is blocking it......Could you be a little more specific as too where to look in defender.

Sorry...no. I use Bitdefender, and it takes over Microsoft Defender.

    @munk1955

    Try this...

Open Control Panel, and click on Windows Defender Firewall.
Click on Advanced setting (on the left).
Then scroll down till you see: View and create firewall rules.

Check the Inbound and Outbound rules, for an entry referring to the Comodo firewall installer.

I wish I could be more help, but all my Windows firewall settings say: Your firewall is being controlled by Bitdefender.

You can also just turn Windows Defender OFF, till you get Comodo firewall installed.

    Get Autoruns here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sys...loads/autoruns

Extract Autoruns.zip to a folder you create, called: Autoruns.
    And then run Autoruns64.exe
    Set the Options as shown.
Then make sure you're on the Everything tab.
Then type Windows Defender in the Search box.

UN-check all the entries marked with a RED dot. Then reboot the computer.

Then you can open Services, and disable Windows Defender Firewall.

    /edit

The Comodo firewall installer is telling you it can't connect to the Comodo server.
Since your internet is working, and since we will assume Comodo's servers are working... the only thing that can be blocking the installer.... is Windows Defender Firewall.

The only two ways I can think to stop Windows Defender firewall from doing that, are...

    1. Go through the WD firewall settings and "allow" the Comodo firewall installer.
    2. Turn off WD firewall.

I do not think, it is WD, since it does not block outbound by default, but most likely remains of simplewall (GUI for WD), but there is a way to check. Download Process Hacker Nightly, run it as admin, sort it by processes or check filter by Comodo (top right), it will nicely show, if WD's rules are responsible.
