    Windows Security


    not sure why but when I click on windows security, nothing happens... nothing at all.. it's like it's the only thing not responding to it when I click on it.. please help

    Do you mean nothing opens or nothing is shown?
    Have you currently or ever had any third party antivirus software installed? This can include a trial product which was never used/was uninstalled.
    Try an in-place repair:
    Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

    To clarify, when you click Settings, Update&Security, and Windows Security nothing happens ?

    - Go to Task Manager Details to confirm msmpeng.exe (defender) is running.

    - Do you have another AV installed ? If so disable.

    - Perform a scan with a free online scan like ESET or Norton Power Eraser.

    - Consider a System Restore to correct registry errors.
