Why are you turning it off, have another AV as would disable it anyway. Post here see if Brink can help you, his tutorial.

I know that technically there is malware for Linux too. But you have already given the answer yourself. Since Linux is almost non-existent in the desktop market (with a global market share around 1-2 %) it's just not worth the effort to create and distribute malware for it. What's more those 1-2 % are also spread among several distributions so the number of targets you can attack with one piece of malware gets even smaller than 1-2 % of the global market. I think it's save to say that the probability of falling victim to Linux malware is as "high" as the probability of winning the lottery jackpot
Yep do as above, open defender settings, disable the app, then run as administrator. you have to click on details and then tell windows to run it anyway even if windows thinks its unsafe.
Restart windows and then just laugh when the notification pops up that you don't have the real time protection on.
