    How to fix Microsoft defender

Bob.ombs software was suggested in another Ten Forms thread > there was a malware warning after the webpage opened

This computer has Microsoft defender and Malwarebytes premium trial.

    Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 19042) (19041.vb_release.191206-1406)

    Malwarebytes scan today: no malware
    Microsoft defender today: no malware

Should the 14 day premium trial interfere or compete with defender or is this a problem with defender?

Defender is not allowing a manual full or offline scan.

Malwarebytes has disabled Defender. To re-enable it you need to turn off register in windows security center in Malwarebytes.

It may have been a reboot that fixed the problem.

There are 2 - 3 days left in the trial.

I'll report if it automatically returns to defender.

If you're done with the trial, uninstall the premium version, reboot and download the free version of Malwarebytes. https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/

The Malwarebytes software appears to be functioning.

How come an uninstallation and reinstallation is needed?

In my experience, the premium version switches to the free one when the trial times out. Malwarebytes sometimes sneaks in the premium trial on updates. Since I don't want it, I go to Settings > Account and turn the trial off.

    That is correct.

I still use it even though the Trial has Expired.
It just DOESN'T include some of the features that were availble in the Trial Version.

I believe the free, trial and premium versions of MB are all the same. Only difference is that the free version does not have real time protection. And that the trial version would just revert to the free version after the trial runs out.
