    Cloud Delivered Protection?

This is just a general question and not really pertaining for my system.

Defender Antivirus has this feature called Cloud Delivered Protection or Join Microsoft MAPS under Group Policy.

For those systems that handles sensitive data, would it be fine to just enable the real time protection and just only disabling the Cloud protection service?

This might be a privacy concern since there might be a risk that certain sample files or personal information may be sent to MS for further analysis.

Lets not forget about smartscreen then and other features like search suggestions (typed words).

Sure feel free to disable it....if you want to get infected. Its the strongest component of WD protection.
