What is the Container folder and why is it missing?

    Hi,
I recently did a full system scan using Bitdefender after a reinstall performed by a service technician, it found 19 password protected files that couldn't be scanned. This raised some concern as want to know what these files are and that there is no risk from them. The Bitdefender scan logs were to be saved in the Container folder, however after determining where the folder was to be located I found it was not there. I was hoping that it would name the files and their location, helping me to determine if they were a threat. I downloaded a program called Passware Encryption Analyzer in order to find them but it gets hung up 30 min into the scan on file #62,752 and did so 3 times with the settings adjusted for each (it was hung up for 2 days the first time). Does any one know what this folder is, and what program creates it? Can it be recreated so that the logs can be saved for later access?
    Thanks

Here's a clue: How to retrieve the scan log of Bitdefender Virus Scanner if you're asking about the Containers folder.

Are you saying the Containers folder is not there?

Yes that is exactly it. It looks like a containment environment, for the computers security? Possibly not an ordinary folder.

They have 5 steps listed? Can you not get the files they mention in step 5? I can't tell if Containers is the name of a Windows file or just an internal reference or what.

Best to contact Bitdefender / post there unless someone else knows here.

Have done so but thanks for hanging in there. I've seen this same path posted under Windows 10, is there a way to get the old Menu bar back in Windows 10?

I would make a new post about that as I think there is and someone will be more likely to see it and respond.
