defender tests + analysis

what site has tests + analysis that shows us what else could we add in addition to defender to double-check if a file is safe?

'win defender' has flaws and will make errors, says that something isnt safe when it's actually fine
im sure there's recent good updated tests somewhere that shows the accuracy rates of the various antivrius tools (i've no idea what sites are best/good for this stuff)

also i guess there's no way to turn this defender antivrius off for at least a month or year? it keeps turning back on very often, seems like a day or so, very annoying bad ux / design

also windows firewall sometimes not often blocks parts of an app and doesnt let us know even tho setting for notification is on (for new apps)
how to make it notifiy us for All apps it blocks a part of, and not just new apps?

Defender is now designed so that trivial attempts to turn it off will fail- this is easily understood as a means of defending against attackers that might try to do that.

No. You simply don't understand why it's designed to defeat trivial attempts to do so and that this is so.

The question of whether Defender is 'good enough' and whether a 3rd party AV is necessary has been done to death in several threads on tenforums. Do feel free to find and read these.
