    BULLGUARD versus ESET?

    No contest I'm guessing.

Just wondered if Bullguard has any advantages for online gaming that ESET doesn't?

I've been using ESET on all my computers and phones for years. £5 a month and I'm covered.

I'm guessing Bullguard is just crapware some company is trying to promote through computers, and I should just get rid of it ASAP and get ESET on my new games PC (which is a PC Specialist Tornado R5.

Why guessing, you can simply install each and trial, test, benchmark yourself.

I'd rather just stick with what I know. ESET is pretty decent IMO, so I guess I'm just asking if Bullguard is specifically useful for Gaming on the Internet? Since it came with this computer is seems a fair assumption. What are the pros and cons.

It's not easy for me to tell whether any package is really protecting me so I have to kind of go on word of mouth from people who's opinion I trust.

I just wondered if anyone have any idea, I'll probably just get ESET on there in the next few days.

ESET usually does well in performance tests (the impact of anti-virus software on system performance).

I often read that Microsoft/Defender is recommended due to being "built in" to the OS, the tests linked below certainly don't support that proposition!

It seems there is an ongoing issue with MS Defender being on the slow lane when copying.
