Never used Geek, but have used REVO which leaves Registry entries on my system. When using REVO always check the appropriate boxes.

I've never noticed Revo Free missing anything unless I've neglected to select all during the review stage.

Never had an issue, personally, don't consider it to be laborious.

When I used to manually clean out the registry junk that some programs left behind, sometimes it would take me about 45 minutes, depending on the program. So yes, 45 minutes versus about 2 minutes with Revo sounds tedious and laborious to me. Not even considering the possibility of a 'Whoops'. YMMV

Time is not an issue for me during the current pandemic era.

Good info, will review REVO more closely next time.

Good info, will review REVO more closely next time.

After recently performing some cleaning using Revo Uninstaller I was reminded of a few tidbits that may help others.
If Revo is leaving registry souvenirs behind, there are a couple of options to explore.
During the uninstall process with Revo, there are 3 different modes. Safe, Moderate and Advanced.
Sometimes Moderate will get the job done or if not, try switching to Advanced.

Another consideration while using Revo or Geek uninstallers is that sometimes I find the uninstalling process is best completed while using Windows Safe Mode. Be aware that 'Revo Safe scanning mode' likely won't function in Windows Safe Mode where-as using the Moderate or Advanced setting will get the job done.

Other settings to consider while using Revo.

If you have any questions about using Revo or Geek uninstallers, just ask. There are many members here with significant experience using these apps and we can all learn more.

I reference Dalchina's link - as a very old novice I have to write things down & take series of screen shots and store them in word to refer to constantly. Not being stupid but careful.
I clicked on it - the first response was a popup from Malwarebytes Premium reporting "Web Site blocked due to PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) Learn about PUP if you don't want to block the website you can exclude it from website protections by accessing exclusions. Domain: pchelpsoft.net ; IP address 104.196.239.80 ; Port 443 ; Type Outbound; File C:\Program Files (x86)\...e\Application\Chrome.exe : With the Click Buttons for "Manage Exclusions", or "Close": I did not click a Button.
The Website page I was headed: "thewindowsclub.com/completely-uninstall-avg-clear-remover"
then I Searched information about PUPs .
On the Website's Privacy and Transparency PopUp and with Cookies to be "Click Button Accepted". I clicked "Managed settings" just to see what I am up against PUP's etc. : on the Pop up listing each item you may have to give your permission to do whatever it does, there were 83 pages with 16 separate account permission potential decisions on every page plus the odd3 making a total number of 1314 potential account decisions (The original tempting button for the lot was a single Button). so I went down so I checked every one with permission accepted highlighted and deleted the accecptance.

Then followed the websites instructions to start with option one to Uninstall AVG antivirus
"The Process seems to access the be install AVG Options and on the presented page of options select Uninstall.
This it did then requested Restart Now or later. I chose now as it was 2am.
It closed down and Updated (Windows 10 I Presumed) on restarting. when it was finished I closed down.
I have yet to uninstall the other AVG Program/ Programs on the computer.
Do not click the pc repair tool. it is being blocked for a reason and is just an AD for athat junk program.

I have finally now removed AVG Browser using AVG Website instruction, with my PC in SafeMode. Previously I had used the link supplied by dalchina to remove the free AVG virus, but with any permissions for anything deleted. they do have to earn money somehow and I assume with the reputation of this forum links are tried and tested. I did not have any problems other than I have described. But as I have described elsewhere having deleted AVG I further deleted what I believed to be two copy folders of 2009 saved TV Programs ad Films shown on TV - I turned out that deleting the First - Deleted all 3 folders of Files.losing all the addresses to 39 files totalling 220 GB of dataI have now one empty Original folder holding an empty folder named sample video the same as were in the copy folders 1&2 and the same path as the file data.
I mention this because searching for the missing unimportant I got no results except a mention of two files regarding AVG.
I will leave them alone for now. My other data is more important
I must thank everybody who has kindly offered help and raised topics to consider. In the order of responding:
My Thanks go to dalchina; pericles; Old Navy Guy; W10 Tweaker; idgat & Porthos.
    Bill otherwise billz.
