Windows Security Center Icon vanished

Version 2004

Greetings people,

My Windows Security Centre Icon has vanished. Every time I boot it will appear for half a second then vanish and not return. I've run System File Checker and there are no errors. It's switched on in task bar settings.

Any suggestions?

I've already checked that it was enabled.

I can access the Security Centre fine from the start menu, it's just not there via taskbar.

@templar, do you have an 'up arrow' ^ on the Taskbar to show hidden icons? If so, click it. If the Windows Security icon is there you can click on it and drag it to the Taskbar.




Edit: I see you have a Malwarebytes icon on the Taskbar. If Malwarebytes is providing your AV protection that icon is probably replacing the Windows Security icon.

Unfortunately I don't have a chevron. I also uninstalled Kaspersky Internet Security and Malwarebytes and rebooted to see if they were the culprits, but the result were the same. It will appear for half a second then vanish after boot.

Now, nothings happend if i click on Restore, before I got this error message "Windows firewall error code 0x800706d9"

I can't update either, i got blue screen, "Error 0xC1900101 – 0x40017, The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT"
