Is there a portable version of MBAM?

I would prefer a portable version, but if I have to, I'll download the .exe version of MalwareBytes. Just don't want anything sideloaded when I install.

There is no official portable version, as far as I know

Nothing is "sideloaded" You will have the 14-day trial that you can turn off after install.
You will be nagged from time to time to purchase the paid version and offers for the VPN and the free Browser Guard.

Note, that not all portable versions are portable per say. Several portable tools install a driver, that remains running, even when you no longer use it, and it could cause conflicts. Like Norton, even Emsisoft used to.

Some portable: Dr.Web CureIt, Kaspersky TDSSKiller, Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool, MWAV, RogueKiller.

Okay thanks. Its been a while since I've used MBAM since Windows 10 security does a fine job by itself.

I had a friend say he downloaded MBAM and it side-loaded Avast, which is not correct,

I just downloaded MBAM and you're right, only offers you to buy the paid version. I don't know where he got Avast from, but it wasn't MalwareBytes.

I just ran a scan and it found nothing, which I figured would happen since Windows 10 has really improved there security software.

I've used portable RogueKiller and ADWcleaner (I think now owned my MalwareBytes) with Windows 10, but again, they don't find anything. Making me wonder if this is all necessary, but I suppose having more tools in the arsenal doesn't hurt.
