    MalwareBytes scheduled scan editing bug

I am running MalwareBytes premium 4.1.2.73 (latest version). I am running it on Windows 10 Pro Ver 19040.450.

MWB is running fine, but there is an irritating bug with the scheduled scan editor. I find it very clunky, in that if you want to change the frequency or times of a scan, you can do it OK, but the UI does NOT dynamically pick up the changes when you come out of editing mode, so it gives the impression that your changes have not taken, but they have!

This seems to be a very basic error/omission.

You have to come right out of the main user GUI "dashboard", and start it up again to see your changes.

Where is the best place to report this minor (but irritating) bug?

It is already known. But anything Malwarebytes related is reported here. https://forums.malwarebytes.com/foru...support-forum/

In some cases, a clean install with the Support tool could fix the issue.

Please do the following Uninstall and reinstall using the Malwarebytes Support Tool
Please have lots of patience with the tool. The first phase is a cleanup and does require a Windows Restart.
After the Restart, it may take 2 - 3 - 4 minutes till the Support tool screen shows up. Please be patient and have faith. Wait for it, whatever it takes.
The 2nd phase is where it offers to do a new Install.
Let me know if that clears up the issue or not.

    In reply to @Porthos

Hi @Porthos - thanks for the reply. You say it is "already known about" so it is a known bug? I am not sure of your logic here: If it is a known issue (bug), then how will a clean uninstall and re-install fix it. I have this on 2 different devices, reacting exactly the same, so I doubt it is a subtle installation/update bug. I will try it if you REALLY think it will make a difference.

I was having the same problem but I am now on Beta 4.2.0.82 CP 1.0.1025 and it is working now.

You can just wait until MB does another update which should be soon.

Or you can try the Beta

Without going the provide logs route of diagnosis and not all users are having the issues the Clean reinstall with the support tool is a recommended start. Waiting for the next version might also be an option but if the next version install does not fix it then you will have to do the clean install to fix it.
