Windows Security (Defender) and Protection history empty

Windows Defender keeps deleting/removing/quarantining files but there's no information what was removed. This has happened several different ways, but recently Action Center said something like 3 files removed by Windows Defender. Then I go to Windows Security (Virus & threat protection) and Protection history. And it's "No recent actions". How do I see the actual history as that place is always empty?

I have also Bitdefender Total Security 25.0.2.14 running (Win10 v2004). It does NOT have anything in quarantine either, so it seems Bitdefender did not intercept those files but just Windows Defender deletes files without warning and without any information except "3 files removed" or similar.

I also tried looking at Event Viewer / Applications and Services Logs / Microsoft / Windows / Windows Defender Antivirus / Operational, but there was not much there. Just information that scan started, no info on removed files.

How do I find out what's happening? Why is Protection history empty?

I would strongly recommend using only one real time Antivirus solution. Problems you see could be expected when using two at the same time.

How did you install Bitdefender? Windows defender should automatically be disabled. You can disable it in Security center, or reinstall Bitdefender

I installed Bitdefender normally. After that, if I go to Virus & threat protection, there is: "You can keep using your current provider, and have Microsoft Defender Antivirus periodically check for treats. – Periodic scanning [Off/On]"

That sounds like there should be no problem having that periodic scanning on (which is probably what caused the 3 files removal). Sounds like a bug to me, if that periodic scanning will not allow any control/history to what it does. If there are no solutions, I have to disable that.

Not sure what happened.. you wrote that there was a notification in Action center about deleting files. This sounds like AV scan was done by its own, or did you manually start Antivirus scan?

Windows Security (Defender) did the "Periodic scanning". Which deleted the files. There was no information, except the time of scan/deletion. Virus & threat protection / Current threats / Last scan said the time. Which was the same as the Action Center notification time. But, no additional information.
