    PUA:Win32/SpeedingUpMyPC

Windows Defender is finding the above referenced "threat". It states it is a low threat. I have went to the Actions tab and clicked on remove or quarantine more than once. It doesn't go away. Any ideas?

    More information is below.

It states the affected items are:
    file:\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy4\Users\Darrin\Downloads\EqualizerPro.exe

I did download the EqualizerPro, but didn't like it and supposedly uninstalled it and all files (Apparently not).

I have searched and tried to find the problem file and can not find it. I have done a power off search with Defender and it finds it, but won't remove it.

Anyone have any idea what I need to do?

    Thanks in advance. . .

I would run the following, just to make sure your system is clean -

    Emsisoft Emergency Kit -

Emsisoft | Emergency Kit: Free Portable Malware Scan and Removal

    Malwarebytes -

    https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/

    Hitman Pro -

HitmanPro Malware Removal and Exploit Prevention in Real-Time

The location of the .EXE is in a Volume Shadow Copy file, likely a System Restore point -

    file:\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy4\Users\Darrin\Downloads\EqualizerPro.exe

Deleting System Restore points should get rid of it.

Once you've completed all scans and removing restore points, create a fresh System Restore point.

I don't use defender but check post 7 here:

    Stubborn PUA:Win32/InstallCore

Then check second link in post 5 of the same thread for a possible solution.
