Can I Delete these .tmp files?

Looking at this folder <C:\Program Files (x86)\CheckPoint\Endpoint Security\EFR\sentree\protections> I see a lot of tmp files - over 1400 - with a name UIDxxxxx_info.json.tmp, where x is a number, and all showing the current date. Is it safe to delete these files, not that they take up much space? I just don't like having all these extraneous tmp files on my system.

PS: I noticed that after deleting them they just re-appear on a reboot, so probably no point in doing that.

Some temp files are re-created on each startup because an application needs them.

    Run Disk Cleanup.

It will get rid of the junk that's no longer needed.

Is this really your system? Or is it a work PC? You appear to have Endpoint Security from Check Point Software installed, which would appear to normally only be installed by company IT departments.

Those folders (CheckPoint\Endpoint Security) are present in both my Win 10 and Win 7 systems. I 'm not aware of installing them. I just use an ordinary Home PC

Well, Checkpoint is a security app. What AV have you installed on these machines?

On Win 7, MSE and Malwarebytes. On Win 10, just Windows Defender.

Not to be nosy but where did you get your computers? Several years ago, here in the USA there was a rent to own store chain that got busted for installing software on the computers so they could track and actually spy on the customers that purchased their computers.
