    my window defender has stopped


    hello my window defender has stopped. I already tried the tutorials but nothing,still the same.
    tells me that the IT administrator limited access to some areas of this app and the item you are trying to access is not available. Contact YOUR Technical Support.

    When you receive anything that suggests something that involves an IT administrator/organization it's usually down to a change being made at the system level. This could be anything from installing certificates so that antivirus can inject into HTTP/HTTPS traffic to system-wide configuration changes. If you didn't commit these changes yourself then something you have installed on your computer has. The worst case scenario is a malware attack that has compromised Windows Security in order to infect your computer. Let's just assume for now it's not the worst case scenario.

    It's hard to understand exactly what is going on because there isn't much to work on. You mentioned limited access but this is usually something to do with group policies, and not specifically Windows Defender. Defender is antivirus software. When you are restricted access to certain things on your computer this is usually down to local group policies - this is different to antivirus. Windows Defender does not define what you can and cannot access. In terms of the Windows Security suite the only thing that comes close to application control is firewall but this limited to traffic and not access control.

    Please can you screenshot what appears on your screen when you receive this/these messages? This will be able to help others to help you more.

    If there is no obvious cause then I would recover from the latest working backup or reinstall Windows just to be sure.
