App:Chip_Updater_BundleInstaller detected by Windows Virus & threat

I was working in Simply Accounting by Sage, Microsoft Excel, and Firefox when Virus & threat protection popped up with "App:Chip_Updater_BundleInstaller" as a current threat.
    Is this for real?
    It finds it in C:\Users\Henry\Downloads\IrfanView 64 Bit - CHIP-Installer.exe
    Is IrfanView not safe?
    Thank you in advance.

You get Irfanview either from its homepage or from MS store. I recommend getting it from its homepage (plugins + language pack) and also installing x86 version even on x64 systems. It works better with scanners and such.

I've been using it forever it seems, the 32 bit version as eLPuSHeR recommends. Great program I use most every day. No garbage with it if downloaded from their web site: IrfanView Home Page
