    Shortcut For Norton 360 Keeps Moving

    I still use shortcuts on my start page as i find it easy to use them and know where they are. In the last couple of weeks my Norton 360 icon keeps moving on its own after closing down PC the same is happening on two machines one with explorer 11 the other new Edge. I replace them to there original position every time i start up they stay there while machines are being used but when it goes to sleep or shuts down they both move any one any ideas why this is happening On my screenshot you can see where it goes and the gap where it normally is.Shortcut For Norton 360 Keeps Moving-screenshot-63-.png

    @lawnmower74 -

    Hi mate.

    I would give this a go. W10 has it's own mind, lol.

    DesktopOK 7.44 Save and restore the desktop icon positions.

    Used it in the way past. It's freeware. No install.

    I would take some time and organize what is on the desktop. I don't know how you find anything on it. With no free space it's not surprising icons move around.

    Install DesktopOK as Compumind said, I've used it for many years. Use it to remember the Desktop icon layout, then whenever things move, right click on it's icon in the System tray and select Restore to put all icons back where they belong.

    Shrink the size of the Search box in the Taskbar. Right click on it, Search, Show Search icon. Leaves a small magnifying glass which you click to do a search. Leaves a lot more romm on the Taskbar for usable icons. Mine look like this:

    You could move some of your programs off the Desktop onto the Taskbar freeing up valuable Desktop space.
