windows defender scheduler taks not running in windows update 2004?

I can assure you there was no scheduler question in the blue screens when you installed V2004.

The other members reported theirs was working, although no one can say with absolute certainty that the tasks kicked off right away.

The update through the media creation tool may start differently but they do the same update the same way.

In your original post you mentioned this issues happens with all feature updates. This leads me to believe something is corrupt in the installation.

If you run sfc /scannow does it run clean?

Fill out as much as you can, especially the Manufacture and full model number of the computer if purchased or the system board if custom built.

@Ztruker Just as a matter of interest just installed 20152 and so Defender hasn't had time to run scheduled tasks and shows up like this -

I assumed it be too early to go back on july 4th is going back 2nd or 3rd week will be ok or should I wait longer surely whenever I do go back next month or month after those 3 task will be fixed and run like they should do like in 1909?

Well it's messed up for me on Dev channel build 20152 too. So I'm trying something out. Right clicking on all 4 on the list and selecting run. Letting it run in the background for about 30 mins.



Still shows as running when I closed scheduler. On reopening it shows this -



so we will see if it's going to work or not.

I have never done what you said before letting them run what if they don't run tomorrow also have to try to restart computer leave it on idol for 30 mins or an hour see if 3 other tasks ran or not<-that was also my issue they never did despite that I did restart last sat night and mon nothing

I really don't know when it would be a good time for you to try the update again sorry. Just to be clear my issue is on an insider preview build not this one and just trying a few things out
. By the way thanks for the heads up because I would never have thought on checking the Defender task scheduler if not for your post.
