    Exclusion folder and Aggressive Anti-Virus

I can't exclude folder or drives from the Exclusion list anymore. When I try to run some .exe files, I'm told that Windows won't run them because of suspected virus found. How do I turn this stuff off? I want to run what ever file I want and not have Windows overrule me.

What do you have in your exclusion list that your AV won't let you run?

Just for my interest.... what AV is this?

You say "Windows Overrule" you which has me thinking Defender but rather than assume.

I tried adding a drive, or anything, but nothing shows up as it used to.

Yes, it's Windows Defender. Can I disable it and run something else? Suggestions of 64 Spruce Ave.? How do you kill windows defender?

Run an online scan using Eset to see if you have a virus of some sort: Online Malware Detection | ESET

Well you can prove to yourself that Defender is wrong by running the online scan.

So upload those files to VirusTotal and post the report link here.

I'm really not interested in virus scans or posting reports, just to tell Defender what to leave alone.
