Can https://www.antivirussoftwareguide.com be trusted??

Having recently grown tired of struggling with aVast, I have been trying other AV and Internet Protection solutions and it's beginning to look like Windows Defender may well be the best bet.
The top 2 in the AV Software Guide, Total AV and PCProtect, are from the same stable and from what I have found both have exactly the same flaws. They don't live up to what they promise.
As for numbers 6 and 7 in the table, AVG is just a clone of aVast and of course has the same flaws.
So I'm now about to try numbers 3, 4, and 5: MacAfee, Bitdefender, and Norton.
To perhaps save me time, does anyone have any insight on those?

Malwaretips.com is a very good site for reviews on AV and other security info that you can actually trust. There is a lot of good detail in there and the members know their stuff. The best way to get rid of Avast is use their dedicated uninstaller tool:

It runs in safe mode and does a pretty good job to remove Avast, you can also scan for and remove residual Avast files with the free version of Revo Uninstaller.

I am just an average computer user and I use Kaspersky Cloud Free antivirus. I heard about it on Malwaretips. KSC Free works great, is very light, has a good collection of features and easy to use, a lot easier to understand than Defender.

My laptop came with a free trial of McAfee. It was super slow and just a real hassle to use. Scans took forever and I really had nothing on the hard drive yet. I ditched it for Defender. I can get Norton for free from my ISP, I tried it before on my previous laptop and found it is an outdated version that is a nightmare to get updated to the current version and again, the GUI is not very easy to use or understand. Bitdefender is said to be one of the best AV's, they have a new version of BD Antivirus Plus now, I read up on it before choosing KSC Free. BD seems to be super complicated, seems like it is trying to do too many things at once and was really invasive with all their requests for personal info just to get an account activated.

KSC Free is set and forget and has everything I need from an AV. All I had to do was set up an account with them to activate the free version and it only asked for my email address. KSC has some really good scores on the AV test sites too, but I don't put much faith in the tests.
