    Virus Scan Trojan Occamy.c?

So i rarely do any virus scans since I try to make sure to be careful when clicking on things on my dell xps laptop. Well i recently was looking at a site think like ebay... where i was hovering over a picture and accidentally dragged that picture i was looking at into my desktop icon area. The reason is because my wireless mouse has lot of clicking issues. It was basically a picture of an item and when you look at it on the desktop icons, it has a description and then html. Does html mean much or nothing at all since if you drag a picture into your desktop background, that is what happens? Like you drag any picture online on say ebay for example into your desktop icon, it should say html at the end right?

    Im using windows ten pro.

Well I then decided to click on windows security and check virus. I always do a quick scan first and that took a few minutes. There was nothing. But when I did the full scan, i got message of Trojan Occamy.c and it showed as severe. My first thought was... could it be because of me basically dragging that picture of an item on a site like ebay which you could click on to get a bigger picture etc but instead of clicking it, i dragged it into my desktop icon area?

I then clicked on the button to fix or clean the infection. What options are there when a virus/trojan shows? I dont remember what i clicked exactly but im pretty certain i clicked on the right button to remove it. But did i have to do anything afterwards? I then turned off my laptop and tried to do that scan option where it takes a bit longer but it basically restarts your computer. Anyone know exact name of this? What i notice was after i did this, laptop restarted and i put in my bitlocker pin. Then after a bit, laptop restarted again and i had to type in my bitlocker pin again. Then im logged back in. A long time ago when i didn't put a bitlocker pin on my computer, whenever i did that scan where it resets my computer and then show like this screen where it scans, it would usually take at least ten minutes minimum etc before it goes to my main screen. But is this normal that it doesn't because i have my bitlocker pin on?

Now how concerned should i be about this trojan? I also have to mention that when i first saw i accidentally dragged that picture into my desktop icon, first thing i did was delete it and send to recycle bin. Then deleted it permanently. Then I did the windows defender quick scan... then full scan... full scan is where it found the trojan.

So If i followed the instructions correctly after it showed the trojan... does that mean that trojan is now permanently deleted from my computer with windows defender? I just did another full scan and it shows no trojan is showing. Like i know when you scan and find the trojan, it gives you option to click on like fix it or delete it right? Now after that is done, do you need to do anything else to make sure its permanently removed? I see there is protection history and it shows a threat is blocked and shows as severed. But make sure I don't click anything on that right?

My concern is i do everything important financially on this laptop as in bank accounts and everything. I have programs like keepass/lastpass installed.

    Thanks.

I like to add... I mean its certainly possible i could have had this trojan for a few weeks or a month since the last time I did a virus scan on windows defender was over a month. But the thing is i never clicked on any link or anything like that as Im very careful generally when web browsing. Thus i think the odds of me having this trojan if i did a virus scan say a day ago or weeks ago it almost zero. Because whenever i download or click on anything by accident, I make sure to do scan everytime.

So my thoughts were the trojan if i got it... had to been me highlighting that image, and basically dragging it into my desktop area. Thoughts on this.

Should i be worried at all now? Again, I did a second full virus scan with windows defender and it doesn't show anything. But windows defender did permanently delete this trojan?

I'd like you to scan your machine with ESET OnlineScan
    1. Hold down Control and click on the following link to open ESET OnlineScan in a new window.
      ESET OnlineScan
    2. Click the button.
    3. For alternate browsers only: (Microsoft Internet Explorer users can skip these steps)
      1. Click on to download the ESET Smart Installer. Save it to your desktop.
      2. Double click on the icon on your desktop.

    4. Check
    5. Click the button.
    6. Accept any security warnings from your browser.
    7. Check
    8. Push the Start button.
    9. ESET will then download updates for itself, install itself, and begin scanning your computer. Please be patient as this can take some time.
    10. When the scan completes,
    11. Push , and save the file to your desktop using a unique name, such as ESETScan. Include the contents of this report in your next reply.
    12. Push the button.
    13. Push

Should be. Open Windows Security and go to Protection History. Should show it blocked.

Many prefer to do a full scan weekly and occasionally use a third party scan like ESET or Malwarebytes especially after an attack. Also, good to do a WD offline scan.
