Random popups after visiting a sketchy website

I recently visited a sketchy website, one where everytime you click, it opens a new tab. This time, it opened a new tab then immediately disappeared. Now I am getting random notifications from chrome. I ran a quick scan using mcAfee, but it didn't detect anything. I looked at task manager, and more specifically I opened up task manager through chrome to see what was going on. I saw a couple of things appearing and then disappearing. All I want is a way to stop these notifications, without having to turn off notifications for chrome. In the picture, you can also see a weird address on the notification. There was also something else I saw that was called, "Extension: Chrome media router" that is not seen in the pictures.
    Using Windows 10 and chrome.

    Run Malwarebytes
Check the browser extensions/add-ons - delete the unknowns.

An a/v program won't detect because you probably (inadvertently) gave "permission" for the offending software to be installed, which by-passes most malware programs. Or the a/v program is inadequate for the job.

Possibility that these nasties are contained in/added to Google Chrome browser, so delete (use Geek Uninstaller for a "cleaner" uninstall) and re-install.

I downloaded MalwareBytes. I ran it twice so far, and each time it has found about 12 files. The problem is still happening, but hopefully after a couple of more scans it will find the source. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling chrome, but I didn't use Geek uninstaller.

    FYI:

Allow or Block Website Notifications in Google Chrome in Windows

So type chrome://settings/content/notifications into Chrome's address bar and press Enter.

Turn off or block / remove anything you don't need.

Thanks Callender. I found the website that was spamming notifications and blocked it.
