Weird windows firewall rule behavior. Assigning wrong path?

So I go to start up Portal 2 today. I get a windows firewall popup to allow or block. It's been installed for a LONG time so i thought it was odd, and opened up windows firewall to check.

The rule had assigned the path instead of its actual path which is S: it assigned it as E:6\

I looked further and another game that is on S: has a path as E:8\

When i change the path to the proper path, the windows firewall notification pops up again, and re-adds a new rule with the wonky path again.

Closing. (well closest thing to that users can anyhow) the issue is not with windows firewall its due to this > https://www.tenforums.com/general-su...ml#post1879792

This is due to a limitation where Windows incorrectly parses Volume strings badly leading to a different volumes letter, plus the last number of the volume being accessed being substituted as the drive letter.

Is anyone familiar with this notation for a drive letter in windows H:35\? - Super User
