    Password Check

    Hi

I got a message from Chrome that there had been a data breach and that I should check my Passwords, see attached file,
I selected Check and was asked to enter my Windows Password, which I did and got a message that there was nothing wrong.

Did I do the wrong thing and should I be worried?

    Please let me know.

    I have W10 Pro x64 fully updated

    Regards

    Daniel

Recommend you do a complete scan of your system and change all passwords, email, etc.

Do you have a Google Account ? Is that where the message came from, or just a random popup while using Chrome ?

Would also recommend you uninstall/reinstall Chrome.

    Hi

I don't have a google account as such, I log into Chrome with my Hotmail account.

I think I will do a clean install of Windows.

    Cheers

Chrome has had a password checking facility for a while now (using HIBP). I suggest you check your email address for know breaches using HIBP directly:
