    Should I be worried?

On to my desktop computer's display has appeared an odd icon. It is grey tone, size as start menu icons, crossed speaker picture in center. Can not capture it by printscreen key or picture scrab tool. It is left side of screen and moves vertically three steps up and down. I suspect it can be a mine, I have not clicked it. Windows Defender says no virus detection. Sounds are working properly. Windows 10 19041.153

As it on screen and floating does your monitor have speakers, lots have little speakers in back / bottom.

Do you have a button on your monitor, real or virtual, to mute sound.

No problem. It reminded me of my TV.

    Be safe.

Exactly what I was going to suggest....Good call Ken...I have one of my PC's hooked up to a 55" VIZIO 4k tv and sometimes after a reboot the volume icon looks just as you have described so either I have to go into the speaker set up and activate it from there or just reboot the PC again and it usually comes out of it.
