    @CountMike

    Worth noting: You will need to 'Disable' this task again when Windows Defender updates it's Platform.

    All four of these tasks get replaced by new ones that will point to the latest Platform folder about every month.

    Have you considered reporting the file/game to MS as a false positive?

    Not to MS but checked on internet, it's nothing potentially dangerous, just a PUA. Something about online gaming.

    I disabled the WD Periodic Scan task in Task Scheduler, then the next day enabled the task again but it would not run anymore automatically (randomly) the other 3 tasks run OK but not Periodic Scan with "Trigger 55" in the argument (actions tab): The registry somehow got corrupted. The next day the 4 WD tasks were automatically refreshed in %systemroot%\System32\Tasks folder and the Periodic Scan task had a 1999 date (never ran). When I ran the task manually it did a Quick scan (0x0) confirmed by Security Center and in Notification box. But the Periodic scan time is not in sync now with the two other scans and so far it has not run automatically anymore. there may be a setting in Get-MpPreference (Elevated PowerPoint command) that needs changing like -RandomizeScheduleTaskTimes but I haven't figured that out yet.
    Any ideas?

    Yes, but some Windows updates will enable it behind your back. Remember, your computer doesn't belong to you. Microsoft think it's their computer despite you paid for it!

    You could just add the file (or directory the file is in) to the Windows Defender Exclusion List.

    Add or Remove Microsoft Defender Antivirus Exclusions in Windows 10

    Option one.
