Is my computer being hijacked as a file server downloader

Is there a way to detect if your computer is being used as a file server ? Kinda like how u torrent works. Some type of utility that watches for traffic ? Like for instance belonging to a website service that offers graphic downloads but that site might also be utilizing your system as a way to take pressure of their own servers. How would I protect my system from that ?
    Thanks I have Win 10 1903

With TCPView you can monitor network traffics.

Hi, Donny. Windows has a built in monitor you could start with to get a feel for the network traffic. Open Task Manager, and the Performance tab. Resource Monitor is on the bottom. Or type Resource Manager in SEARCH and start it from there. Expand the Network section to see who/what is sending/receiving and how much. By the example you give of the web service, sounds like you do belong to it, just my guess. They may have a peer-to-peer option that you can opt out of.
