    Windows Defender vs. Windows Security

I've not often noticed the icon on the taskbar for Windows Defender. Today I found the title for it says Windows Security no Windows Defender. What is the difference between the two? Is one better that the other?

Am running W10 ver. 1909 up to date.

    Thank you.

I see what you are talking about in the start menu....But when I run my mouse over the task bar icon it says"Windows defender Security Center"
Obviously we have a little Microsoft semantics going on here!

I think Windows Security consists of Windows Defender, Windows Firewall, and other protection features.
