    Standard hardware security not supported


    Win 10 Pro x64 v1909

    This is what I have noticed:

    Boot drive formatted NTFS / GDP
    Bios setting: Discrete TPM selected, not firmware TPM
    Bitlocker can't use TPM

    What might be the problem?

    Hi, there are various checks you can do, some of which you may have done:

    Verify Trusted Platform Module (TPM) Chip on Windows PC

    There is some relevant discussion following which you may find helpful.

    It may help if you can post the exact text of any error or informative message.

    In addition, what TPM version do you have?

    Thanks to you both for the answers. It turns out I misunderstood what this was all about. I thought this for added safety from internet viruses, malware, etc.
    I don't have a TMP chip and it seems I do not need one. I am the only one with access to my pc.
