    Description:
The description for Event ID 2003 from source Microsoft Security Client cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The above is from the logs you posted.

Assumed you transferred files from the Win7 computer to the new Win10 computer ? Perhaps one of the files contained remnant or related file of MSE which is corrupted ?

Have you tried sfc/scannow or if possible a System Restore prior to the problem ?

That's why a Clean Boot would be a good thing to try.

Have done SFC. No restore as too far back and restore points are deleted with Windows updates. Nothing from 7 possible could have done this. and I built this machine 2 years ago and issue started January. Clean boot would not show anything as this happens every two weeks. Nothing ion msconfig is remotely related. So that would not help.

O also reviewed EVERY MS task in task manager and none set to run at 5:50 AM as this errors then.

I have a pretty good idea of what I am doing. Windows since Windows 1 (truth) and online since 1986. I am usually the guy that answers these questions for my friends. When I get stumped I drop in here to see if anyone knows a bit more than I.

Obviously it is something running that never did before that is not finding its target which trulty is not there and may never have ever been. So what is calling it is the real question?

    Thanks.

    ~Bob

New .Net update this morning. Perhaps that will fix it. Will report if it does.

Likely a week or ten days to see if it happens again. I'm thinking it well could have been changes in .Net and hopefully corrected.

Just ran again this time 9 days and 20 hours after the last. Identical. Not sure how to sleuth. Going to look at Task Scheduler again to see what might have run.

Get yourself a copy of this: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/comput...vity_view.html

It displays all activity, scheduled tasks and all, in sequence. Defender is included in the schedule Maintenance Task.

You can filter results, this case tasks. Sort every which way. Might be a help with your sleuthing.......

Thanks. Off to download and see what it shows.

Read very quickly but it appears it will not show what task ran to trigger these and it starts collecting data after install so I might have to wait two weeks for something useful. I'm going to see if I can find a way to sort Task Scheduler buy date and time...
