    is bitlocker protection good

I started using Bit Locker to password protect a USB pen, have chose NOT to have backup key. Thought this was very secure, but now find there are many programs able to retrieve / crack the password, so my question is, should I use something else ?

    Thanks

Most encryption can be broken but a lot depends how long it takes and unless you are a billionaire no one is really going to bother trying to break it anyway

Interesting comment, I forgot my password to a steganos safe file and can’t find any program to extract that password.....
Companies must have better protection than bit locker then, or they could risk losing data to a competitor.....Unless they have the Bat Computer LOL

Bitlocker is pretty serious encryption, if you use a good password, it would take equally serious computing power to even come close to cracking it. No need to use anything else if you're just protecting personal info. If you're plotting to overthrow a government, and your life is at stake, use Veracrypt+Linux OS. lol!

Given that there isn't ANYTHING on planet earth that can't be broken we can move on from fear mongering. With that there's absolutely nothing wrong with having more data protection. I use BitLocker without issue or performance loss.
