Please be aware that WD some anti-exploit settings, i.e. Attack Surface Reduction rules, allow exclusions but others do not. And a couple of the more restrictive rules may cause issues, depending on other installed software unique to your machine. For example, I use almost no 3rd party softs and have no issues with all rules enabled. So YMMV!
So far, I haven't had any more issues with it turned on. And I use several third party apps. I'm sure I'm going to have something stumble, but I know how to fix it now.
After Microsoft's latest forced update, 1903, I discovered that all my previous system restore files had been wiped out. Is there any way of hiding, or protecting, or backing up system restore files?
Remember folks, having a backup/system image is still the best defense you can have for this kind of attack.
