Do most anti-virus/malware apps scan all drives or just C:?

    Thanks to all those who have contributed to this thread.

    All I wanted to know was if the security software I have scanned all drives automatically when they scanned the pc and if not how I could manually scan a particular drive myself.

    I have Windows Defender enabled to do a quick scan periodically and Malwarebytes Premium and HitmanPro Alert schedule to run a scan daily. I have one SSD as OS drive, one SSD with apps, one HDD for data and one HDD with videos, I have not had any malware for years as I don't use
    warez or torrent sites and I do not even open junk mail I simply delete them.

    By reading some of the advice posted above I now know how to scan individual drive/folder if I need to do so just to satisfy myself they are free from malware.

    I use subscription Norton 360 and it will scan any active drive attached to the system.
