If you've upgraded to 1909, then the only question is: are your problems now resolved?

Note that 1909 has a file explorer search bug.

I suggest you consider a clean install.

i worked all day on the article from the site you mentioned and it again pointed to the media creation disc. i did that and after a while it finally updated it. however nothing changed no task manager or firewall. i really only have microsoft office on here that i dont want to lose and the other stuff i can re download or re install there is an option on here for resetting the pc would that possibly fix it or the clean install do you have a good guide to use.

i cannot thank you enough for helping me im still learning windows 10 anyways and when i got it it had all my moms info so if we have to reset it then i will deal i just want to avoid the computer shop again.

Final update(again the edit button is gone) i bit the bullet and did a clean install between then tutorials and good old google i got everything back. I didnt lose anything because input it on a passport. I didnt realize how easy a clean install actually was i had this issue a couple times with another computer and the technician always made it out thag it was a complicated process. Its not i will be setting restore points and backups for now on. And sonce the entire clean sweep everything is in my name and everything is vack and running perfect. Thank u for my constant questions and guiding me through this. In the futire i will just come here for help and stop wasting money on technicians. I will be looking at getting a bigger hard drive so i will come back to get help on doing that later on. I have rambled enough and thank u for your kindness

That's good news.. now before something goes wrong, create a disk image if you've not already and do that routinely.

Macrium Reflect (free-paid) + large enough external strorage for image files.

Disk images let you recover Windows or any disk/partition imaged to a previous good state without panic- and help even if your disk fails or is infected or unbootable, and act as a backup from which you can extract files.

I keep notes on changes between disk images so I have a chance of retracing my steps.
