Unable to turn off permanently Windows Defender !

    Hello,
i always was able to turn Windows Defender off, but now it always turn on. I tried solution 6 and 7, using gpedit and regedit, both didn't work. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...a.html#option6 I can't turn off service in regedit. Or there was yet dword disableantispyware 1 to disable this. Nothing what used to work works. Are you joking ?

It is not possible to turn this off anymore, what ???

Are you installing or have already installed 3rd party AV AM AS products? If yes, they will or should have already turned WD off. I'll watch this thread and learn from the others.

Disable tamper protection, then run [Batch] Windows Defender Disable twice and restart.

I disabled tamper protection and ran script, but windows defender still turns on. Luckily i have program, which can temporarily disable it, but it cannot disable Windows Defender Antivirus services. They are protected and even editing regedit doesn't work. Any idea how to disable these ?

Is Windows defender causing you a particular issue? I've found it to be very non-intrusive.

Most likely Malwarebytes is protecting Windows Defender. Besides you can run both and avoid lag.

On the side note, I would rather run Windows Defender than Malwarebytes. :/

And how is that related to adding malware bytes to exclusion list of other antivirus. If malwarebytes is protecting windows defender how i turn that off ? Isn't it rather that win defender services are protected from disabling ?

EDIT: okay now after disabling tamper protection, i was able to disable windef services in regedit. Did you said restart twice ? That may be it,i forget. Thanks !

You can add those exclusions to Windows Defender.
