I'm a dead-set Kaspersky devotee, have KIS on all my devices (3 PC, 3 laptop), but Kaspersky of recent times seems to have become obsessed with password management. Continual pop-ups about saving/managing/storing/etc.

Easy to shut the pop-ups down and turn them off, but annoying in the first instance.

Maybe their current marketing program ... ?
Not me since my bank stopped offering free Kaspersky software due to security concerns. Defender has been fine.

    Hi there

My view on this (I know others will probably violently disagree) is that if you are in any way worried at all about "The integrity" or otherwise of a website dealing with your security package --then it's time to ditch that package.

Windows defender plus its real time protection on latest versions of Windows is really of a robust strength these days -- for domestic computers absolutely no need for anything else.

A lot of these consumer grade packages were build in the era of W7 etc when basic built in Windows security was either non-existent or a total joke. Very different today.

Just get rid of all the 3rd party Anti Virus software -- Ms is modelling WD and the real time protection on the security it has in its cloud (AZURE) system which has to be really robust and is Ms's biggest (or one of the biggest) earners it has.

Also scamming is more likely to be a problem rather than malicious hacking - and some scams can't be prevented simply by using software --The A.I systems aren't yet good enough for that type of protection --although give it a few years !!.

    Cheers
