    Windows Defender Updates?


    Hey all, I was just wondering if I postpone my Win 10 updates for a few weeks, will my Windows Defender still get it's virus updates or do they get them thru the Win 10 Update? Thanks in advance

    Microsoft delivers Windows Defender updates through Windows Update, through Automatic Updates, and through Windows Server Update Service (WSUS).

    So, if I postpone Win updates for a couple of weeks I will not be getting virus updates?

    I think if you disable Windows Update then your computer will not receive definition updates i could be wrong checkout the tutorial.

    You can pause Windows Update and still receive Definition updates. You are only pausing updates to a new release or CU.
