System Froze - Msg to call Microsoft

Weird thing yesterday. Just browsing with FF, and gave me a notice about they stopped "fingerprints" from XXX?.

OK great and within 1 minute screen turned RED with some phony message about a "problem" and that I should call Microsoft with some phony phone number. System froze and had to do a system power off. Immediately ran all the virus checkers, MWB, Adwcleanner and defender. They all came up without any issues.

Would have taken a screen shot, but system was froze. So far today, still clean. knock, knock

i dont think the system froze. you got a full screen advertisement page and the page was made in a way in which you cant leave it

if the issue happens again then try pressing windows key and tab together. you should get tabs view. if you got it then click on new desktop and then select desktop 2. press ctrl alt delete when you are in desktop to and then go to the task manager and then do end task for the browser that is showing the full screen page. after that press windows key and tab together again and go back to desktop 1

Worth doing a disk check a forced shut down can corrupt open files

Thanks for the info. I have 2 displays, neither side/window would respond including Ctrl+Alt+Delete. I will keep WinKey + Tab in my notes...
