Hello FreeBooter, just a question about the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64.
As well as the disclaimer it says do not run as it may harm my PC?
Can I ignore this safely and run it anyway?

Ztrucker - Rich trying the Windows Live mail install gets a little complex so I've called a stop for now.

    Best
    Just FYI:

Farbar is also used by Malwarebytes (MBAM) if you report a problem and they ask for dumps, etc. It is safe when used as instructed, and mentioned here by others.

Thank you both for those tips.
It still leaves me unable to retrieve my IE favourite listing and still unable to retrieve my historical emails.
Is there any where I can read up on the steps I need to make to recover them particularly the emails?

    Thanks

Where do you think they might be? Sorry if it's posted way back somewhere.

I see a few problems here.

    1. You have a browser hijacker (add-on) called SearchScopes. Instructions for removing it are here: How To Remove SearchScopes Adware (Virus Removal Guide)

    2. You have restrictions on IE, Do you use that browser? Did you or someone else set up the restricted policy?
    [I]HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer: Restriction <==== ATTENTION[/]

    3. CoD4_Level_55_Crack.rar Cracks come with malware!

    4. You have several entries about this event: Error: (12/05/2019 12:57:15 AM) (Source: DCOM) (EventID: 10010) (User: DESKTOP-34UV52R)
Description: The server {AB8902B4-09CA-4BB6-B78D-A8F59079A8D5} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

Hello Tomcat I try and explain my email position.
My Samsung phone & tablet will work with my emails but my pc after it lost its Hard drive now won't.
My email address was a Virgin.net one which they told me 18 months or so ago was going to be discontinued however it is still working.
My email account was a Windows live mail one.
I just can't get my email up and working again on the pc now I have replaced the HD.

    Cheers
