New to Windows 10 (Pro) ... upgraded from Windows 7 (Pro) then clean-installed W10 on a Dell 660, clearing out all my software in the process. So now I'm trying to decide whether to reinstall 3P virus/malware/firewall/etc. software. Previously was using Kaspersky.
Is Windows Security "good enough" by itself? Thoughts? Suggestions?

I have a thread a few posts below that basically answers your question as kinda sorta.
In a nutshell I find Defender can find issues but sort of doesn't bother to do so. That you have to manually inspire the system to do it's job. Which is weird. I'll tell you this: the very first thing you should do is a FULL SCAN with Defender and walk away from the PC. If you stay there doing things it will take a lot longer.
I install the free version of Malwarebytes. It finds things that Defender doesn't. It's nagware but hey. It also requires you to manually check things now and again if you don't pay for the automatic checking.
I've read all over the net that that combo is pretty good.
I use Defender augmented with offline scans by AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes
It is good enough, but if you have a licence for Kaspersky, you better stick to it.
