Can I configure windows defender to never quarantine files

Maybe, I can't find any MS documentation on if/when quarantined items are automatically removed.

....anyone can tell me how to get rid of the files in quarantine (not the exclusion list, as bree showed a working method ) permanently when it cannot be removed from defender or if it isn't showing up in defender at all, for future reference :).)

What I can find is how to configure automatic removal after a set number of days of your choosing.

There is a Group Policy for this...
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Microsoft Defender Antivirus > Quarantine > Configure removal of items from Quarantine folder.

...or you can do the same in Regedit. Go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender\ and create a new key named Quarantine. In Quarantine create a new REG_DWORD called PurgeItemsAfterDelay and set it's value to the number of days required.

Yeah they're policy editor value is also confusing too

Tried both of them with values 1 day & 2 days, they are set to two days since the 12/09/2020. But the items were not deleted until 19th., i,e after 30 days since the oldest item in quarantine, so I was asking if there is any manual method or command to delete them(tried searching all their docs related to quarantine but couldn't find any ;~;).
