After I uploaded a document to check for security I could not find a place to remove it.
Is the uploaded information secure or not?

Depends what you uploaded. Paid subscribers can download it so no, it isn't really secure.

You can send a support request to delete it here Submit a request – VirusTotal with "I have accidentally uploaded something private" as a subject.

Generally it is for checking things you download - not uploading your own private documents you created yourself which you should know the provenance of anyway.
