WARNING

Have just received a most lifelike M$ posting stating I had been chosen the chance to win one of the latest phones and a button on which to enter....being somewhat suspicious was thinking what to do when a siren sounded warning I had three severe infections....and should click the defender button on screen.
I immediately closed down the browser.
Opening Favourites then History revealed the following link which when clicked sirens restart.
My copy of this link is a printed copy and has been checked to be safe using Defender and MBAM.

Unfortunately I cannot post this link which gives comprehensive info on this forum.

I always check the sender email address if it sounds too good to be true.

Or "too bad to be true" as the case turned out to be here. Thanks for the warning @dencal.

I got similar one from Google and promptly dismissed it. Wonder if that was the cause

Mine involved a bogus M$ posting and a bogus Defender scan.
