    Tamper Projection

I formatted and installed 1903 yesterday and Windows Security has a caution asking if I want to enable tamper protection. I wonder if I should enable it.

Tamper protection keeps other software/malware from disabling Defender. It is very much like Self Protection in Malwarebytes. I have it enabled with no issues. I would recommend it.

Thanks I've enabled it. Not sure why it wasn't by default.

I think mine was turned on automatically when I got 1903 (from 1809). Possibly having Malwarebytes installed could have affected it, not sure.

It seems to turn itself off after certain Windows Updates. I think cumulative updates might be the cause. Just keep checking your Defender settings after windows updates

It's something I'll have to keep an eye on.
