Oh, yeah, it's the Endpoint Protection. Sorry 'bout dat.

As I said in my original post,

CleanWipe ( Uninstall Endpoint Protection with the CleanWipe utility ) may take care of the problem, but I’m hoping for something that would create a little less work for those in IT.

So, here's the rub . . . I've created a profile and signed into Symantec, but things go from bad to worse from there. I haven't been able to get to CleanWipe to download it.

I'm going to try to get it again today, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, if I get CleanWipe, then I have to wait until Monday to try it.

Hmmmm, at this point, Thomas, I'm thinking about Revo! IT Jim has given me permission to uninstall Symantec; he can reinstall. At this point I only have four to update; I updated two of them before Symantec was added, and one hasn't been "registered" with the network.

@Compumind, it has been several years since I stopped using Norton Internet Security ( I think that was version name). I kept getting notices every few hours about bad software attacks but stopped by Symantec. Two programs I had trouble updating were Corel draw suite and a program used to download music and videos from YouTube. Again, I can’t remember specifics or error messages.
I also had a problem updating Norton on one computer. It asked for a restart. I restarted the computer, it seemed to be updating but 18 hours later it was still 'updating.' At that point I did a hard shutdown and restart at which time the computer would not restart. I used Macrium to reimage the computer. It would not reimage. The boot record was corrupted and to make a long story short, I had to reinstall everything on the computer, Windows 10 and all other programs. That was the last time I used Norton Internet Security.

Thanks for all your help, Computmind. I'm not sure, but I may have stumbled onto a way to get around Symantec End Point.

This morning I went to Sr. Center after reading everything I could find and what y'all posted for me to look at. One thing had locked itself into my mind, since I couldn't "mount" the ISO. If the ISO won't mount, choose Open With>File Explorer.

My first intent was to get the error message, but instead . . .

1. I copied the ISO created by the UUPDump app to the desktop, then disconnected the jump drive.
2. I right clicked on the ISO and chose Open With>File Explorer.
3. Instead of the error message popping up, the installation process started!
4. Not expecting the "repair install" (keeping personal files and apps) to actually finish, I waited. It took a long time, but finally finished with 1903 updating all the way from 1803!
5. I then did the same thing with the other four computers and voila!

The only reason for the installation to finally work I can think of is, Open With > File Explorer somehow bypassed Symantec's End Point. Whatever it was, I'm a happy camper! All seven Windows 10 computers in the Sr. Center now have the May 2019 Update (1903 - Build 186362.267)!

And before you ask, yes, I checked to see if Symantec End Point had been changed and nope! The computer I uninstalled it from no longer had it, and EP was still "suspended" on another one. Of course, my first thought was that IT had fixed things, but nah . . .
