Simply do not let MBAM register itself as the primary, and both will run.
    Hi Dick -

    OK, I'll bite...

Just how do you accomplish this in the free or paid version?

    Thanks.

No, a virus is a specific type of malware. Many types of malware are not viruses.
    Quite true.

    Free doesn't have real time.

I let MBAM choose and have not had a problem yet.

    OK.

I understand what both of you are saying now.
Have any of you run MBAM with Norton (any current edition) and have not had a problem?

(Let's put WD aside for a moment.)

    Nope. Don't use Norton. Sorry.

I'm almost 100% certain, though, that that Action Center register option is specifically for Defender, not any other 3rd party AV. If you have Defender enabled. Might work with Norton, or ESET or others. Can't test or say.

I would agree and I'm going to setup a system to test MBAM and WD (free and paid. ) I want to see how well they play together.

    Thanks for the info.

    One more thing...

    MBAM Premium.

Post's 33 and 34 appear to contradict each other in the MBAM WAC setup.
    Look at both graphics.

    Why the difference?

i.e. Never register & let MBAM apply the best WAC, etc.

Simple difference of opinion? Or is the Action essentially the same?

    TIA

I believe some people have had problems with Defender and MBAM and Never register resolved it. I've never had a problem so leave the default to let MBAM decide.
