The State Of Security In Windows NT (10)?

I say this as an unbiased Geek who uses any OS under the sun. :) What is the security model for Windows 10? I once saw some C# Code that could bring up a User elevation prompt. :\ Now, I haven't delved too much into the security of Windows NT (10), but I'm wondering about how it is secure, and what methods are in place to prevent various kinds of PUPs and Viruses, Trojans, Trojan Droppers, etc.. Remember, I use any OS, so I'm no fanboy. :) Thank you for any replies and insights guys.

Apart from PUPs (aka PUAs), viruses, trojans etc. should be blocked by Windows Defender. In a business environment PUA detection is usually enabled in Windows 10 Enterprise on a corporate network, but for the general public it is not enabled. However, you can (and I do) enable it on any Windows 10 PC.

BTW, on this forum :) doesn't become a smiley, the reason being that combination can occur in text such as "(drive C:)".

Ah, thank you! That's how it was in the old days (I was born in 1991, and was just old enough to see this older form used. :-D) I should know better that on a Windows Forum, : is reserved under certain circumstances.
