sfc /scannow failing after this latest Defender Platfom update.

Anyone else seeing this after last night's Defender Platform update that went from 4.18.1905.4-0 to 4.18.1906.3-0?

I'm getting it on both my platforms. Both machines are on the latest 1903 207 build.

Perhaps some Powershell Defender module for 4.18.1906.3-0 hasn't synced up yet?

One I fixed with DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. The other I'm waiting to see if it gets fixed by the CU in the next hour.

    Code:
2019-07-09 05:04:36, Info CSI 00000259 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:27]'MSFT_MpComputerStatus.cdxml' of Windows-Defender-Management-Powershell, version 10.0.18362.1, arch amd64, nonSxS, pkt {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35} in the store, hash mismatch

MS have acknowledged the issue and advise just ignoring it. Looks like they will fix it in "future releases of Windows".

    Update:

After my other machine just installed today's v1903 build 18362.239 CU, it still failed the sfc /scannow and it too required a DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth session and subsequent sfc /scannow to fix what appeared after this latest 4.18.1906.3-0 Defender Platform update from last night.

    Hi,
Wonder if it's the new account protection bs features throwing the errors if not used/ dismissed with sample uploads.

Yeah, I was worried about this too cause I have my own Defender scan and update Definitions tasks running. My official Windows Scan has never worked, instead always getting that '(0x2)' on the Windows Defender Scheduled Scan Task.

And I also noticed that on both my machines that when my Windows Definitions task ran it found this latest platform change first.

    Hi,
I did restorehealth and restarted after it said 100% successful
Ran sfc /verifyonly and still failed
Ran scannow and it fixed what ever lol so yeah this is just win-10 ilk again throwing false errors again like it did not too long ago.

What I found really fascinating was seeing this huge download to Defender processes on both machines when I ran the DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. So the ol' MS train tracks not meeting up with each other for sure.

I don't know that much about the DISM clean up process, but I'd always assumed it did it's work locally from the recovery partition or some other local image.

    Hi,
It would have a tough time getting anything off a recovery partition for me I delete the silly 500mb partitions.

Same here. Fixed by running dism, sfc, dism.
